Recently, I have been trying to eat healthier and actually eat breakfast, which is something I never really ate. So today, I thought that I would show you my granola recipe, which is actually making me enjoy eating breakfast for once!

By the way, I will be doing a blog post all about the reasons why I am changing my eating & lifestyle habits, later on this week, so keep a look out for that.

Today's lifestyle Thursday is a DIY. Last year, I created this photo album for my sister's best friend when she was having her first baby. As they didn't know what gender the baby would be, I went for neutral tones and Baby Mehta, which is the baby's last name. You can write whatever you want on the front, using whatever font too. You can choose the colour scheme too.

For me, finding somewhere to store my nail polishes has been difficult. I live between my family home and my uni home throughout the year, so I needed a storage solution which can be used as a travel case for them too. They live in my uni room most of the time, but in the summer, they need to be travelled back to my family home. The case I store them in is from ebay. It is a metal box which has a lock on it. I bought this case a long time ago so I doubt that it is still avaliable. Sorry! But I am sure you could get something similar on ebay if you search for metal vanity cases.

In today's post, I am going to share a recipe for an easy chocolate tart, which could be a nice alternative for your Christmas day dessert. You may have already seen photos of this dessert, as it is the one from my uni flat Christmas dinner. I thought that it would be a nice alternative dessert for Christmas, if you don't like Chirstmas pudding etc.
You could serve it with cream and/or ice-cream.

Serves 4-6 people

A DIY Christmas wreath

So, I thought for today's blogmas post, I would do a festive DIY. As a student, I know that I don't have much money to spend on making my room/halls/flat/house etc, look festive. So, with a few scraps of material, xmas wrapping paper, cardboard and wool; I created this Christmas wreath, which you can hang up anywhere indoors.
It's also a great DIY to do with children and if you like to have a more handmade Christmas.

Listen to my Christmas Playlist whilst creating your wreaths to help get you into the festive spirit!
Yesterday's blogmas post was all about my playlist.

What you will need
- Two circular objects, one smaller than the other, to draw around
- Cardboard
- Cutting mat and knife/ or scissors
- Pen/pencil
- String
- Stapler
- Fabrics/wools/yarns in your chosen festive colours
- Christmas wrapping paper
- Double sided tape
- Christmas tags (optional)
- Other decorative Christmas items (optional)

How to make the wreath.

Draw around your larger circular object on the cardboard.

This DIY came about when I bought a cheap set of drawers for my dog's stuff. I wanted the drawers to stand out and represent him, so I painted them white and decorated with black spots etc.
You could use this idea for other furniture pieces and for people, not just dogs. It would be a great item for someone who is dalmatian mad, like me!
Let's get on with the DIY!

What you will need
- Wooden Furniture/drawers
- Sandpaper (coarse)
- Wood primer spray
- White spray paint that can be used on wood (I used two cans)
- Black acrylic paint
- Paint palette
- Stencils
- Sponge
- Bin bag
- Sellotape

Today's post is a quick DIY that I did this morning. I was going through my wardrobe and I found an old topshop beach dress that I never wear anymore. So, I decide to make it into a skirt that I can wear on a more everyday basis. It was done in a matter of minutes and cost nothing!

Right, today I had nothing to do so I decided to do some baking. I made a lemon loaf cake, cheese squares and macaroons. I had some disasters and some triumphs but baking, for me, is all about trial and error. So here are the recipes and some photos from today. Enjoy!
