Blogmas 2013! - Day Twenty One - DIY: An easy chocolate dessert.

In today's post, I am going to share a recipe for an easy chocolate tart, which could be a nice alternative for your Christmas day dessert. You may have already seen photos of this dessert, as it is the one from my uni flat Christmas dinner. I thought that it would be a nice alternative dessert for Christmas, if you don't like Chirstmas pudding etc.
You could serve it with cream and/or ice-cream.

Serves 4-6 people

Ingredients
- 300ml double cream
- 2tsp Caster sugar
- Pinch of fine sea salt
- 50g of unsalted butter, softened
- 100g of milk chocolate
- 100g of dark chocolate
- 50ml of milk
- Ready-made pastry tart case that doesn't need to be cooked
- Sugar to sprinkle on top

How to make the tart
1. Put the cream, caster sugar and salt in a pan and bring to the boil. Remove as soon as it boils. With the pan off the heat, add the butter and chocolate. Stir until everything has melted/blended together.
2. Let the mixture breath for a couple of minutes, then stir in the milk until it is shiny.
3. Pour into the pre-made tart shell and leave at room temperature to set for 2 hours (at least). You can make this the day before and store in the fridge.
4. When serving. sprinkle with sugar on the top and serve with cream/ice-cream.

Countdown to Christmas day has begun! Only 4 more to go. Hope you have enjoyed reading this post and enjoyed blogmas.
See you tomorrow.
