2013 Beauty and Fashion favourites - Skincare & Haircare.
Hi guys! I know it has been a long time since I have done a blog post, but I wanted to have a break at Christmas, and then get settled back into uni work before I began blogging again. So, as you can tell from the title of this post, it is a 2013 beauty/fashion favourites post. I am going to be blogging all week as I feel guilty for being away for so long!
The schedule for this weeks special 2013 favourites week is
Monday - Skincare & Haircare
Tuesday - Bodycare & Other beauty random products
Wednesday - Make up
Thursday - Clothing
Friday - Accessories
So let's get started!
Skincare
My first two favourites are these nose strips and hair lightener. I really like using these nose pore strips to help remove and unblock my blackheads. I buy these cheap versions from Wilkinsons for a few pounds, which is such a bargain. The hair lightener is something I couldn't live without! It is cheap and from Boots. I bleach just above my top lip as my hairs become quite dark around there. I would recommend bleaching over shaving your top lip anyday.
To help remove my make up, I use my Simple 'Kind to eyes' eye makeup remover and my Johnsons face wipes for combination skin. I don't use facewipes everyday as I prefer to give my face a deep clean when I can. However, I do use the eye makeup remover everyday as it is one of the best eye make up removers I have tried. Simple skincare is something that I will always recommend.
This has been my favourite face mask/peel of the year. I adore all Soap & Glory products and this facial peel is amazing. The small grey beads in the formula disapear when you rub into your face. I use this once/twice a week to give my skin a pick me up. I think that I will be repurchasing this again.
The next favourites for 2013 are my Soap & Glory face soap & clarity face wash, Neutrogena blackhead eliminating face scrub and my muslin cloth. I get extremely dry skin so I like to exfoliate it every two days in the evening. The soap & glory face soap is great for everyday use. I got into using muslin cloths in 2013 too. I like to use them damp to help remove the scrub/soap. I do love these products alot but I think I might try new face products in the new year before repurchasing these.
My final two 2013 favourites are my astringent and moisturiser. The astringent is better for my skin than a normal toner. I don't think I could use anythng else but this astringent from AVON. It helps to remove my blackheads and I have noticed that when I don't use it, my pores look darker. The moisturiser is Neutrogena oil-free moisturiser. I really like this moisturier for helping to control the oily parts of my face. I just wish that it was a little more moisturising for the dry parts of my face.
Haircare
I don't tend to use that many hair products and if I do, it has to be for coloured hair, to help keep my bright hair colours vibrant. That's why I love this shampoo and conditioner. The L'oreal Ever Pure is such a good shampoo and conditioner for a cheap price. I tend to change my shampoo & conditioner each time a bottle runs out, but I will be repurchasing this one again! This must mean that is a good product in my eyes as they will be my third bottles of each!
Well, that is it. What were you favourite skincare and haircare products of 2013?
Any recommendations?
Bye
