Today's post is a quick DIY that I did this morning. I was going through my wardrobe and I found an old topshop beach dress that I never wear anymore. So, I decide to make it into a skirt that I can wear on a more everyday basis. It was done in a matter of minutes and cost nothing!
I took my beach dress and carefully cut off the top half of the dress, above the waistband, with my fabric scissors.
And that's it! As it already has lining, a waistband and a fastening on it, nothing else needs to be done.
It's now wearable for everyday in the summer and through the autumn, if you layer it with a jumper and tights.
A nice floral a-line, knee-length skirt.
Hope you enjoyed this mini DIY and feel inspired to modify some of your unloved clothes.
Bye
