"This is my costume, I'm a homicidal maniac. They look like everybody else." |
Wednesday Addams is such a recognisable character, and is so easy to recreate for Halloween. Simple makeup and hair, that gives a ghost-like appearance, which is perfect for this time of year. It's so easy to do, so it is great for a last minute invite for a Halloween party, or if you fancy dressing up for handing out the sweets to the trick or treaters!
Makeup
1 - For my base, I used my normal foundation (L'Oreal True Match in Rose Ivory) and concealer (Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer in shade 1), as I am pale enough to be Wednesday Addams. If you aren't as pale as me, I would either still stick to your normal foundation shade or use a shade lighter. To set and mattify, I pressed AVON HD Finishing Powder into my face, using a sponge.
2 - Using an angled contour brush and the NYX Blush in Taupe, I contoured my cheekbones, jawline and temple. I wanted the contour to be quite visible, so I applied more than normal, just make sure that you blend!
3 - For brows, I used Goof Proof Brow Pencil in shade 6, and Gimme Brow in medium. I filled them in quite heavily, for me, but I wanted them to be darker than normal.
4 - The eyes were super simple. I primed them first with AVON Eye Primer, and then used the shade WOS from the Urban Decay Naked Basics palette to set the primer. The only other shade I used was Naked, which I blended through the crease, outer corner and on the lower lashline. In the upper waterline, I used a black pencil liner from Soap & Glory, and in the lower waterline, I used a nude liner from Rimmel. For mascara, I used the AVON Supershock mascara.
5 - For lips, I did two options. For a nude lip, I used the Rimmel Kate Moss lipstick in 08 and for a black lip, I used the MUA LUXE Velvet Lip Lacquer in Potent. To finish, I set my face into place with the AVON Magix Prime & Set Spray.
