Today's look is a spider eye makeup, with 3 outfit ideas that would complement the eyeshadow. Even though it looks quite hard to do, it actually is quite simple to achieve. This could be a great last minute costume idea, as you could simply wear it with a black dress. I have provided three outfit ideas in this post, if you wanted to go with a more spider-looking outfit.

I only did one eye, but you could do both eyes the same. Also, you could wear whatever colour lipstick with this eye makeup. I went with red to match the hint of red glitter on the centre of the lid.

This makeup look isn't as hard as it looks. I got inspiration for this look from Pinterest, so let me know in the comments who originated this idea, so I can credit them. To re-create this look, start by applying your normal base products, brows and lipstick. Then, I set my eyeshadow primer with a skin-toned eyeshadow, blended a light brown/grey eyeshadow into the crease, and then smudged black eyeshadow on the lid and into the crease, as well as on the lower lash-line. Using the same black shadow, create the spider legs and pincers, then create the shadows using a light grey eyeshadow. Then using white liquid liner, apply highlights to the legs. Now this stage is optional, but I placed red glitter onto the centre of each lid. Finish with black pencil liner in the waterlines, mascara and false lashes. You could do both eyes, but I preferred only having one spider. 

The outfit for this makeup look could literally be anything. You could easily wear it with a simple black dress that you have in your wardrobe, or you could go a bit more spooky by wearing one of the three outfit choices I have suggested. Anything with spiders or cobwebs would look great with this makeup look.

Today's look is a simple mermaid makeup, with 3 different outfit ideas. I think this would be a great last minute costume idea, as you could re-create this using makeup only, even though I used face paint. You could also add face jewels, if you want to make it even more sparkly. The outfits are three different mermaid inspired looks, but you could also wear this makeup with a simple black dress, for any last minute plans. I chose blue/green tones for my mermaid scales, but any colour combination would work.

This makeup is simple to do and you can use eyeshadow instead of face paint for the scales. To start, just apply your normal base routine, but with no contour/blush/bronzer products, but you can add highlighter. I didn't apply anything to my brows, as I didn't want them to be overpowering, but if you want to add brows, you can. After the base, stretch the fishnet tights over your head, pulling it tight to cover your whole face. this might feel super weird, but it's a quick way to add scales to your face. Using a sponge, apply the face paint or eyeshadow across the forehead, coming round to your cheekbone area, and then some on your chin and jawline. Carefully remove the tights and you should be left with scales. Lightly dust powder on top to set the face paint. Then apply your lipstick, grey-toned smokey eye, mascara and lashes. Finally go crazy with the glitter! I applied some on my eye lids, cupids bow, brow bone and then a light dusting all over the face. 

To finish the look, I created a wet look effect to my hair, with salt spray, but you could also wear a wig. A glittery crown would also look great with this look, as well as face jewels. You can go crazy with the glitter and jewels for this mermaid costume. 

The outfit could be anything you want really. I put together three different looks, mainly focusing on using holographic and glittery items. But you could easily wear this makeup with a simple black dress. But if you love a bit of sparkle, you can wear tons of glitter for this costume.

Today's look is Mia Wallace from Pulp Fiction, both with & without the bloody nose. Pulp Fiction is one of my favourite films, so I thought that this would be a great costume for Halloween. It's a simple last minute costume too, as you most likely have an outfit to go with the makeup in your wardrobe. If you don't, I have provided outfit suggestions for this Mia Wallace look, ranging in prices, so you can find an outfit for your budget.

This makeup look is a simple brown/grey toned eyeshadow look, with winged liner and a bold red lip. To re-create this look, apply your normal base makeup, blend grey/brown tones on your eyes, add winged liner and a bold red lip. I didn't add any false lashes with this look, but you can if you want to. For the blooded nose look, add fake blood from your nostrils, and you can mess up the eyeshadow if you want to. I didn't want to mess up the shadow, but I do think it would look super effective. If you don't have short dark hair, you can buy a wig like I did.

The outfit is super simple and can most likely be made from items that are already in your wardrobe. It just involves a white oversized shirt, black cropped trousers and black ballet flats. A black lace bra showing through the shirt also adds to the look. I have provided 3 different versions of each item, ranging in prices, so that you can create the outfit, no matter what your budget is. 

Today's Halloween post is a Vampire Bride makeup look, with outfit inspirations. This makeup look is fairly simple and only uses makeup, no face paint, so it's easy for anyone to do. I think this look could be a great last minute costume, as you pair this makeup with a simple black dress from your wardrobe and add a flower headband. For my look, I had this headband from an old costume, and added a piece of lace for a veil. You could also just wear a flower headband or find a headband that has a veil attached.

This look is a simple red-toned smokey eye, with no winged liner, and a grey lip. To recreate this look, just apply your normal makeup base, add a dark smokey eye which could be red-toned (like mine) or purple-toned, apply a lipstick which could be grey (like mine) or purple/red, and add some fake blood! You could also buy some fake vampire teeth to wear. I was going to add some teeth to my look, but they were too big for my mouth. This look does work without them too though.

For this look, I decided to go with dresses as the base, as that fits the traditional 'bride' look. I went to a black and red colour scheme, but a burgundy or purple scheme would work too. I think this look needs the flower crown or veil. There a plenty around on the highstreet & online, so it wouldn't be hard to find one that you like. 

I have styled three looks, but can also keep it simple with a black dress from your own wardrobe and a flower crown.

Today's makeup look is Poison Ivy. This makeup is fairly simple, but what makes it into Poison Ivy, are the homemade accessories. By just using a cheap headband, fancy dress mask and leaves, you can create really effective Poison Ivy accessories. This look is great for people who want to make an effort for Halloween, but don't want to be scary or covered in fake blood.

When looking for inspiration for this makeup look, a lot of people used green eyeshadows and glitter, with red lips. But for my blue eyes, I have always found that red suits me more than green does. I applied a small amount of green-ish shadow on the centre of my lid, but mainly left the green for my ivy eye masks and headband. I also did two different versions of the lips, one without glitter and one with. For photos the glitter looks great, but if I was going to wear this to a Halloween party, I wouldn't have glittered lips. The glitter just wouldn't last all night. 

I created the eye masks by buying a cheap fancy dress eye mask, and cutting it to the shape I wanted. I wanted it to mimic my eye shape, so I cut the mask in half, placed one half on my face, & drew on it the shape I wanted. Once cut out, I glued on fake leaves to cover the base mask, with a glue gun. To apply them to my face, I used eyelash glue. However, if you are used eyelash glue, don't glue them on your eyebrows! The headband was made my glueing leaves onto a thick plastic alice band.
