MA Final Collection - #GIRLGANG

Since I haven't posting anything for over a year, I thought I should fill you in on what has been going on in my life.

When I was writing a lot of the last posts on this blog, I was feeling very uninspired, and I just wasn't myself. This was because I was still grieving from the passing of my father in September 2016. I was trying so hard to just carry on with life, not realising that I wasn't letting myself grieve properly. So, I stopped writing this blog, and made the decision to put myself & my family first, and then to apply for a Masters course (Fashion & Textiles MA at De Montfort University).

The Masters course has been the turning point for me, over the past year. It has helped me to become myself again, and has given me the confidence the believe in my design work, after my father passing in the same week as my BA graduation.
Throughout my MA course, I have explored working with faux fur and have taken business modules, so I could learn how to start my own fashion brand. This is what I am trying to start, now I have finished my MA.

So, that's it really. I mostly took the blog break to grieve, spend time with my family and to complete my Masters course. I feel ready to come back to my blog now - which had felt like a chore not a hobby - with so much enthusiasm and ideas.

If you want to see more of my MA work, look at my website shannonannefurniss.co.uk, or design Instagram @sf_fashiondesign. I have included images of my final collection within this post too.

See you guys on Sunday!

So, this feels strange but...
Studs & Flicks is officially coming back!

I am relaunching this blog after over a year off, and I can't wait to share my life & opinions, on here again.

I have started a bit of a redesign, which includes the new logo above, but I'm not 100% happy with the blog design yet. So, occasional changes might happen.
Also, I won't be posting everyday, but the current schedule for posts will be Monday, Thursday and Sunday, every week.
I can't wait to share my opinions, reviews and life with you again, now that my passion for blogging has come back!

See you on Thursday, where I will be giving you a life update, of what I have been up to during the blogging break.

Okay, I know it's been a while since I posting anything, and I am sorry for that.
I have just felt like I wasn't enjoying blogging much, and that I needed to take a break from it. Plus, I have been super busy with my university work too.
However, I am ready to start blogging again. I have re-found my passion for it, and I super excited to start! I have to admit that one of the reasons for finding my love for blogging again, was writing my dissertation draft. I am writing about advertising through blogging, which gave me the opportunity to research and read blogs again, which is something I stopped doing, as I didn't really have the time to. Reading blogs again, gave me inspiration and reminded me why I started this blog.

Anyway, I am back and ready to go!

My plan is to blog Monday/Wednesday/Friday and then do a weekly catch up on a Sunday, as I wanted to show you the process of how my university final collection is made, and just chat more about personal things.

So, I will see you in 2016, on Friday 1st, with a new blog post.

Hey guys!
I can't believe July is already over! So many fun things happened in July, like my weekend in London and a lot of drunken nights out with my friends, so I have high hopes for August!
Anyway, I am writing this little update as I am planning on doing #BEDA (Blogging EveryDay in August)! I normally blog 2/3 times a week, but I thought I would challenge myself to try to post something everyday, including the weekends. It will range from long, chatty posts to short wishlists etc, just like my blog does already.
I hope you guys will enjoy #BEDA, and if it goes well, I might do #Blogmas again.
(Did I really just mention Christmas!?)

Hey guys, I'm back!

I'm so sorry that I haven't blogged for such a long time, but uni work/life took over. Plus, I felt that my blog schedule and layout/look need to change, and I had no time to do it, whilst doing uni work. But I am back, with a new layout/look and schedule. I used to blog every weekday, but that is going to be too hard to manage during my final year of University. So, I have decided to blog every other day, which will be so much easier for me and the content will be better, as I will have more time to spend on each post. I think I will be posting on Mondays/Wednesdays/Fridays/Sundays, for now on.

Anyway, I thought that I would catch you up slightly of what has been going on since I last posted. Firstly, I turned 21! Ahhhh! I'm officially an adult! I have some photos on my instagram (link in sidebar) from my night out and from my family meal, if you would like to have a nosey at them.
I have also finished all my uni work for 2nd year! Again, I post photos occasionally on my instagram of my fashion design work, so if that interests you, then check it out. Actually, if you truly want to see more updates from me, then my instagram is the place you need to be.
I swear I am an instagram addict!
More things have probably happened but I just can't think right now! Haha! But I am glad to be back blogging and I can't wait for you to read the up-and-coming posts!

See you on Wednesday!
