My Top Five : Places to eat/drink in Leicester #BEDA

Today, I thought I would give my hometown some focus on my blog, as it does have some amazing places to eat/drink in it. Eating out or going for drinks is something I love to do with my friends, so I thought that I would share with you my top five places.

Queen of Bradgate is my favourite place for lunch & cocktails. Everytime I am meeting friends for lunchtime drinks & food, I take them here. It has a great vibe, really nice food, amazing selection of ales/largers/cocktails etc and you can purchase some of the furniture! It also has a specialised gin bar, if gin is your choice of drink. An all-round favourite of mine.

Firebug is perfect for daytime and night time drinks. I haven't personally eaten here, but a few of my friends have, and they really like the food. It stays open until 4am most nights, so it's a great place to go after a club, for that last drink. Firebug also has lots of different nights/gigs on, so there is always a nice crowd of people in there. If you are looking for somewhere that you can have a nice few drinks with friends, with some great music etc, this is the place to be.

The Orange Tree is very similar to Firebug for me. It's a great place to go for drinks & food, with your friends. I really like to go here for casual drinks, or for a couple of drinks before going to a club. They have a great cocktail menu, really nice food menu and the vibe of the place is really relaxed. Perfect place for those summer days, when you want a drink in a beer garden.

Now, this place is fairly new in Leicester. I haven't had the chance to eat here yet, but I have been to The Cosy Club for a few drinks, before going to a club. It has a vintage, quirky style and the staff are really nice. It also has a really pretty beer garden for those summer days. I've only been once, but it made such an impression, that I can't wait to go again!

If I want a really nice meal, I will go to 1573. I have been to quite a few large family meals here, and for good reason. The food is amazing, the staff are really nice and it has a really friendly & relaxed atmosphere. My personal favourites from the menu are the Baby Pork ribs and the Roast Pepper with Halloumi salad. It's a great place for lunch and dinner, any day of the week.

Where are you favourite places to eat/drink in your hometown?
