Top five under £5 - Base products
For the next 3 posts, I am doing a series of top products under £5! Sometimes you don't have to splash the cash to find amazing products. In today's post, I am talking about base makeup products. I have picked my personal top five, which are two blushers, a powder, a brow pencil and a very well-loved concealer! Enjoy!
Product One - Primark Brow Pencil in Medium £1.50
To find a great brow product under £5 is so difficult. But, when Primark released their makeup range awhile back, I had to try their brow pencil. It is a great pencil for a basic filling in of the brows and comes with a spooly, which is always handy. For a full review, click here.
Product Two - Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer in Fair 1 £4.19
The very well-loved Collection Concealer had to be in this Top Five. How could it not be? Everyone loves it and raves about it! It gives good coverage and can be used for spots & under-eye circles. A perfect first concealer and should be a must in even professionals kits.
Product Three - Rimmel Stay Matte Powder in Transparent £3.99
I always have this in my collection. It's not always my first choice, but when I use it, I remember why I liked it in the first place. It de-shines your face and sets your concealer/foundation, without looking cakey, which is a look that no one wants. For such a cheap powder, it works amazingly. I have used the coloured ones too, which work in the same way. I just prefer transparent powders.
Product Four - Makeup Revolution Powder Blusher in WOW! £1.00
I adore this blusher! There are quite a few cheap blushers on the market that work really well, but I really like these powder blushers from Makeup Revolution. For £1.00, they are creamy to touch, highly pigmented and come in a variety of colours. For cheap powder blushers, they aren't that chalky/powdery.
Product Five - Makeup Revolution Vivid Blush Lacquer in Desire £1.99
A little goes a long way with this product. It's best applied with fingers or a stippling brush, as it is quite a creamy product. I have dry skin and it can pick up on your drier patches, however if you moisturise your skin beforehand, you should be fine. A great creamy blusher for spring/summer months, for a dewer skin.
And that is my top five base products.
What are yours?
