Beauty Monday - My Top Five: Current favourite Autumn/Winter lip products

Hey! I'm back! I know it has been two months since I last posted, but I have needed to take a break. However, I will be talking about that tomorrow on Tag/Tell-all Tuesday, so come back then.

To get back into the swing of things, I thought that a look through my current go-to lip products would be a great start. Autumn/winter, for me, means dark and berry tones. This time of year is amazing for lip products, and I always want to make my lips stand out, rather than my eye makeup, during the A/W days.
So here are the five lip products I can't stop wearing this A/W.

T-B : Rimmel Apocalips/AVON Bold/ MAC RHPS/ L'Oreal Eva/ Topshop Gloss Ink.

The Rimmel Apocalips Lacquers are one of my favourite formulas for shiny patent-shoe looking lips, so I wasn't sure I would like the matte formula, even though I prefer matte products for my lips. However, I was surprisingly amazed at how moisturising this matte lacquer is! It has a lovely velvet-like texture and the colour is stunning too. It is a gorgeous wine colour with purple under-tones, which makes it a great day-time colour if you are afraid of wearing really bold dark tones during the day. The only down-side for me, is that I have to re-apply a lot, which can be very annoying!

This colour is stunning on and lasts for a long time. I am normally let down with the colour pay-off from AVON lipstick, as they tend to be quite sheer, but this one is bold, like it claims! Even though I really like this colour, the lipstick bullet appears to look a lot darker than it applies. I was expecting a extremely dark plum/bordeaux lip colour, but I ended up with a lovely wine colour, that has a pink undertone. Either way, I still love this lipstick.

MAC The Rocky Horror Picture Show Limited Edition Collection in Sin (no longer available)

You don't understand how happy I was to be able to purchase this online, when the collection first came out! This lipstick is a matte purple-red. with slight blue under tones. As it is matte, I would recommend using a balm underneath, otherwise it can be quite drying. This lipstick has been my most reached for out of these five, but that might be something to do with the RHPS logo on it, as that is one of my favourite films! For me, this is the most perfect dark lip for A/W and I am sure MAC must have a similar shade in their permenant collection.

I have three of these lipsticks, but out of all the red shades, I seem to gravitate towards Eva's shade. The formula of the lipsticks are creamy and opaque, but can become matte, if you blot your lips. This shade is a muted orangy-red, which is a perfect red lip for the day. What blows me away the most is the expensive packaging for such a cheap price! The packaging is a gorgeous leather effect with gold detailing, and a lid that clicks shut. Don't you just love it when a lipstick shuts with a click, or is that just me?

Topshop Gloss Ink in Sloe Gin (no longer avaliable)

I am not a huge gloss fan, but this product is more of a gloss mixed with a lacquer. It is a highly pigmented fuchsia colour, that is long lasting too. However, it always transfers as it doesn't set. That is the only downside for me. It does stain your lips with colour but constantly transfers product onto whatever you eat/drink, no matter how long you have worn it for. But I can forgive that, as it is a beautiful colour and is super quick to apply, thanks to the easy doe-foot applicator.

And they are my current go-to A/W lip products.
