Tag/Tell-all Tuesday - July Favourites!
Another month has gone by which means it's time to tell you my favourite things from July!
I have a few beauty/makeup products, a few fashion pieces and a few 'random' favourites too.
So let's get on with it!
£7 (sometime on offer for £4) |
My first favourite of the month is my AVON Eyeshadow Primer in Light Beige. I didn't realise how much difference an eyeshadow primer can make before I tried this one! Before, my shadow did last the majority of the day, but now it lasts all day with this primer. It is also a must for me on nights out as I always found that my eyeshadow would sweat off, but it is all still in place when I get back at 4am!
A great product that I will be repurchasing.
£1 from Poundland. Unsure where you can buy from now. |
The next product is an eyeshadow that has been in my collection for a while. I was browsing through my makeup and thought that it was a beautiful Summer colour. Now, I can't stop wearing it! It is my Dainty Doll single eyeshadow in 003 Teach me Tiger. It is a beautiful coral shade that has a slight gold shimmer in it. It is hard to find a beautiful coral shade that it still flattering on pale skin, and this is super flattering. I have even used this as a blush. I am happy that I have found this product again!
£12 from Boots |
Now time for a Summer must, a translucent powder! My new favourite powder is the One Heck of a Blot powder from Soap & Glory. It is so creamy and light-weight on the skin, and removes any shine on the face. I struggle with shine on my t-zone and keeping my concealer from creasing under my eyes, and this powder help combat both problems. Plus, the packaging is so cute. I am such a sucker for beautiful packaging! I used to use the Rimmel Stay Matte powder but I was fed up of the packaging cracking/breaking, so I picked this one up instead. There is no way this powder going to break easily!
£4.99 from Boots |
Final beauty favourite is a day cream. It's the Botanics Hydrating Day Cream SPF15. I was looking for a new day cream or moisturiser as I was finding that my skin was getting dry during the day. When I first wake up, my skin is hydrated because of my night oil/serum but, as the day goes on, my skin starts to flake under my makeup (which is not a good look!). So, I realised that my day moisturiser wasn't working, so that meant a trip to Boots! I had heard that the Boots Botanics brand was cheap and worked well, so I thought that the hydrating day cream might be the answer to my prayers. And it has been.
My skin feels moisturised without feeling greasy, and looks healthier/brighter.
Gift so not sure of price. |
Time for some fashion items now. The first one is my Dalmatian bag from Timney, sold in House of Fraser. I am so in love with this bag! I got it last year, but I have only really just started to use it, as I am going through a monochrome phase right now. My mum purchased it for me, as she knows how much I love dalmatians. I think it just adds a bit of fun to an outfit, whilst looking stylish. It is a great big bag with a nice length set of handles, so that the bag fits well on your shoulders. I just love this bag, even if it is not most peoples cup of tea!
£5 from Vintage Fair |
My Summer staple, sunglasses! And this pair of my new obsession! I purchased them from a vintage fair and they are so different from all my other pairs of sunglasses. I have talked about them in my Summer Lovin Tag post, where you can see more photos of me wearing them. They are double lensed and add a quirky edge to any outfit.
£12 [SALE] from Step-in-style, Leics. |
Final fashion favourite are my faux leather white shoes. I can't stop wearing these, they are so comfortable! I have worn them in the day and on nights out. I am a sucker for shoes in this style, which my sister calls 'chunky ugly shoes'. The faux leather makes them easy to clean, since white shoes can get dirty very quickly. I bought these from a store called Step-in-style in Leicester. It is a cheap shoe store but sometimes you can get a great pair of shoes from them, like these! They were in the sale so I got a bargain for such a perfect summer shoe!
Two music favourites this month. First one is Charli XCX - Boom Clap and the second one is Sigma ft Paloma Faith - Changing. Both are great for dancing around the house and a sunny car drive.
Two songs that I haven't stopped listening to this month.
A 'random' favourite this month is my trip to York for my friends 20th birthday night out. He goes to University there, so we decided to visit his new house and go for a very messy night out. It was such a good night and a very hilarious hangover day after. I miss do miss my college friends when I am at Uni during the year, so it is great when we get to spend weekends/days like this.
My final monthly favourite is World of the Orange. I love this Youtube channel and have for years, but I am loving the new format. They are hilarious and don't take Youtube too seriously. They never fail to make me laugh and I am that obsessed that my friend got me there signatures, when she went to Comic-con.
Check them out.
What are you favourites from July?
