Lifestyle Thursday - My handbag contents (Summer edition)

Today's post is all about what I carry around with me, if I am going out for the day in the Summer. Yes, this is similar to a 'What's in my bag?', but without the tons of receipts and old sweets rolling around the bottom of my bag!

I know it may look like a lot of things to carry around with me, but I only carry this amount of things if I am going out all day. I try to carry a lot less than this when I can!

I know this may seem a little crazy, but I carry around a sketchbook and a notebook. If I am going out for a long day, I like to take these so that I have places to sketch/note ideas down. As a fashion student, a sewing kit (and pin cushion/scissors) seems a good thing to carry around, just incase a little button comes off etc. A pen and pencil are basic essentials that I have always carried around with me.

So, they are the 'creative' items I carry around with me.

My phone, DKNY purse and keys are typical items to carry around everyday. They never leave my bag, even if I am not carrying around everything in this post. My camera is something I am carrying around more and more, as I am trying to capture more photos for design inspiration and for blog posts. The plastic (dog poo) bags only come along with me if I am taking my dog out for the day, not just on his normal walks, as I wouldn't have a handbag with me on his morning/evening walks. Oh the glamous life of a dog owner!

This leopard zip wallet contains 'time of the month' lady items. I don't really need to explain that any further, now do I ladies?

The dalmatian make up bag contains my Nivea suncream, a mini hairbrush, miniture Gok Wan hand balm, a few hair grips, nasal inhaler, breath spray (as I don't like gum) and Bepanthen cream. I feel that it is all doesn't need explaining apart from the Bepanthen. Sometimes, I get rashes on my elbows/knees from being out in the sun too long/laying on grass for too long. The cream helps it from becoming itchy.

Final make up bag is my Marc Jacobs one. I carry around my Soap & Glory powder, Real Techniques blush brush (for my powder), Collection concealer, Real Techniques sponge (for concealer), whatever mascara I am wearing that day (that day it was Collection Does it All Waterproof), my Maybelline baby lips, whatever lip product I am wearing (that day it was Kate Moss/Rimmel lipstick in 08 and Soap & Glory Sexy Mother Pucker in Nudist), Lady Gaga Fame perfume and whatever sunglasses I am wearing (Tortoise shell glasses from Very.co.uk).
