Beauty Monday - May Favourites

Today's Beauty Monday post is my May favourites. These are the beauty, fashion and random things I have been loving throughout the month of May.
So let's get started!

Beauty

My first beauty favourite is the Vitamin E Overnight serum-in-oil from The Body Shop. This product has been a lifesaver for my skin! I suffer from dry skin which can be a hassle when applying make up. But this product helps to deeply moisturise my skin overnight, so that my face isn't flakey in the morning, when applying my foundation etc. I totally can't live without this product now and I always regret it when I forget to apply it. That's how I know this product works. When I don't use it, I have flakey skin in the morning. When I do use it, my skin is wonderfully moisturised.

The next product is the Camomile Sumptuous Cleansing Butter from The Body Shop. I adore this product for taking off my make up at night. I wasn't sure at first about the whole cleansing balms/butters, but this has proved to me that they do work. This is perfect for all skin types and removes all make up easily. You take a small amount from the tin and massage it onto wet skin. You can even use it to remove eye make up, as the product is gentle on the eyes. Plus the camomile helps you to relax before bed.

As you can see, I have been loving The Body Shop this month! This favourite is the Honey Bronze Bronzing Powder in the shade Light Matte. I am so in love with this bronzer! I usually find it difficult to pick the right bronzer for my pale skin, as they are too orange or muddy brown for my skin tone. But this one is perfect! Plus, it's matte so I could use it as a contour too. I have been using this everyday in May, to help give my ghost-like complexion a summer glow.

The next two products are both liquid eyeliner pens. Yes, I have been loving two different black eyeliner pens! The first one is the Soap & Glory Supercat eyeliner pen in Carbon Black. This liquid liner pen is amazing! It's so black and helps me to create a cat-eye flick so easily. However, I wish it had a longer nib like the Primark black felt eyeliner pen. I really like this one but it's just not as black as the one from Soap & Glory. I like to use the Soap & Glory one for thick winged liner, and the Primark one for thin winged liner & for getting in the inner corner.

The Rimmel Match Perfection foundation in the shade 010 Light Porcelain is my next favourite. I find it really difficult to match my skin colour and to find a foundation that glides over the dry patches of my skin. This foundation is a perfect match for colour but on my really dry skin days, doesn't cover the flakey skin. However, when I do have a nice skin day, this foundation applies nicely and gives a nice finish. I like to apply it with my Real Techniques stippling brush.

My next make up favourite for May is my NYX blush in Taupe. I read about this blush on Miss Makeup Magpie's blog and I knew I needed it then and there! It's a great powder contour for pale skin, as it is a matte toned taupe colour, with no orange/mud brown undertone. I do love using this product and I would recommend it to all my pale skinned friends.

My Marc by Marc Jacobs make up bag is my next favourite. It's a beautiful grey and lime green pattern with the black and white letter on the lining. It has stunning gol hardwear and holds a lot of make up, which is always good for a make up junkie like myself! My sister bought me this, so I don't know where she purchased it, but what a great sister she is!

My final makeup favourite is my ELF 100pc eyeshadow palette. My best friend bought this for me at Christmas and I decided that I need to use it more, now the weather is warming up. I thought that I needed to add more colour to my make up looks as it is coming into summer. I have been using the red/pink tones and the purple ones during May, and I will be continuing to use the other colours during June. The pigmentation of the shadows are really good and the palette isn't expensive either.

Fashion

Right, my next favourite might be including a bit of TMI. The first fashion-based item that I having been loving during May are my two white sports bras from Primark. These have been a god-send for me, as I have been wearing them to bed. Now, you may be wondering why I have needed a sports bra for bed, and that's the TMI. I had my nipple pierced this month and I needed something to protect it whilst I sleep. I read online that sports bras are a great item to wear as they don't move around whilst you sleep. So I went to Primark and picked two of these up for £4 each. They are super comfy and still keep me cool during the night. Absolutly perfect until my piercing heals!

This hat! I am in love with this felt floppy hat from H&M. Unfortunatly, they don't sell it anymore, so I can't provide a link. I have loved wearing this hat when it's sunny and when it's not. It just goes with so many outfits and makes so many too. I just want a reason to wear it around the house too!

My next two fashion faves are my Spiderman crop top and my vintage denim shirt. I need to stop wearing this top! I am constantly wearing it as I am a little obsessed with Spiderman! It was such a great buy from Primark and it adds a little fun to any skirt/leggings/trousers. The denim shirt is something I have been wearing nearly everyday during May. It is an oversized mens vintage shirt which I picked up at a vintage fair in Lincoln. It is an xxl so I could also wear it as a shirt dress with leggings. It's just great to throw over any outfit on a warm day.

My JuJu's! I was so happy that I purchased these! I bought the black heeled ones with the white buckle. I have loved wearing these in May with my frilly black or white Topshop socks. Now, I wouldn't recommend wearing these without socks, as they will rub your feet raw. But these are perfect for the summer and I am obsessed with them!

These shoes are another pair that I have been wearing to death. They are black fabric with white rubber soles. I purchased them from a shoe shop called Step in Style, in Leicester. I wear these in the day and on nights out as they are super comfy. The white part is looking a bit grubby now, but I will continue to wear this bargain (£10!) pair of shoes until they fall apart.

My final fashion related fave for May are my sunglasses from Very.co.uk. I haven't purchased a pair of sunglasses in about 3 years since I have about 19 pairs already, but I decided to treat myself to this pair. They are tortoiseshell cat eye shaped glasses which is something I don't have in my collection. I have been wearing these non-stop during the sunny days of May, and I will continue to do so through summer!

Random

My first random fave of month is Hannibal. I needed a show to fill the void that The Walking Dead left and a lot of my friends suggested Hannibal to me. IT IS SO GOOD! I watch both seasons in a matter of days as it was that gripping! The only problem with watching it that fast is that I now need another show to watch! A do have a list of shows that my friend is putting together for me, but if you have any suggestions, leave a comment below. I don't know how to talk about this favourite without spoiling it for people that want to watch it/currently watching it. But, if you enjoy a psychological thriller with gore, then this is the show for you. Don't watch if you can't watch gore-esque tv shows/films.

My final favourite of the month is The Amazing Spiderman 2! I went to see this with my flatmate and I loved every second of it! I am a huge Spiderman fan anyway, hence the crop top, so I was bound to love it really. It has fantastic action scenes, great elements of comedy and a wonderful, believable love story. Plus, who doesn't love Andrew Garfield! Can't wait for the next one!

That's all my favourites for May!
