Beauty Monday - FOTD - Simple eyes and Bold lip
For today's Beauty Monday post, I thought that I would do a FOTD (face of the day), as I really liked the make up I wore today. I was going shopping and for lunch with my friend, plus it was really hot today, so I wanted an easy, light make up look.
So I went with a simple eye and bold lip.
Brushes used:
- Real Techniques blush brush for my bronzer and powder
- Real Techniques miracle complexion sponge for blending my concealer
- Real Techniques setting brush for contour and highlight
- Real Techniques silicone liner brush for brows
- Real Techniques base shadow brush for eye shadow
- Real Techniques deluxe crease brush for eye shadow
- Angled brow brush (ebay set) for brows and liner
For brows, I used the ELF Eyebrow kit in Medium and Collection colour lash mascara in Clear. For shadow, I used the Urban Decay Naked Basics palette. I used the shade Naked 2 over the lid, Venus in the inner corner, Faint lightly in the crease and Faint again, along the lash line for liner. For Mascara, I used AVON Super Extend Extreme mascara in Black.
I didn't wear any foundation as it was too hot, so I just used concealer in any areas I needed it. I used Collection Lasting Perfection concealer in Fair 1. I contoured my cheek bones slightly with NYX powder blush in Taupe, highlighted with Venus from my Naked Basics palette, put colour into my complexion with The Body Shop Honey bronzing powder in Light Matte and kept shine at bay with my AVON Ideal Flawless pressed powder in Fair.
To finish my look, I used my Maybelline Baby Lips in Hydrate to hydrate my lips before applying colour. For my bold lip colour, I went with Topshop Gloss Ink in Sloe Gin, which is a gorgeous purple/pink colour.
And that is my FOTD. It was such an easy look to put on this morning and it was still intact at the end of the day, even after sweating!
Bye
