In this Lookbook, I am showing how to take an outfit from day to night, by changing a few accesories. This is a very fifties/prom style skirt with a net lining which looks amazing on, because of the high-waist and it knee- length. I teamed the skirt with a sheer striped shirt and white vest top underneath. Instead of buttoning the shirt and tucking it into the skirt, I decided to tie the skirt into a knot at my waist, to emphasize my waist. The short sleeves are great for covering the 'fat' tops of my arms, and yet still nice to wear in hot weather. Adding a pop of red to this monochrome outfit, sunglasses in the day & bag at night, finishes this outfit nicely. I chose sandals for the hot summer days and my favourite pair of heels for the night time. With the daytime accessories, I would wear this outfit shopping, to the park and for a nice daytime drink. Basically, I would wear this outfit to many different occasions in the day. With the nighttime accessories, I would wear this outfit to a party, to an evening meal or even to an occasion (wedding/christening etc). You could also wear this outfit in the Autumn by adding tights with the evening version and white plimsolls and white frilly edged socks with the daytime version. Another thing I would like to say is that this outfit is great for someone who is curvier as it will nip you in at the waist, giving you an hourglass figure. Don't feel like you have to cover up if you are a little larger, just work out what suits your shape. Plus confidence is always your best accessory.
Anyway, this outfit is just a winner in my eyes for the summer. It's cool, versatile and a little quirky with the heart shaped accessories.
